Library Book Sale 09.30.09

Mortar Board worked hard on Sept. 30 and Oct. 6th, helping the Lawrence Public Library with the Book sale. The Library Fall book sale is one of the largest traditions that the Library holds, with over 100,000 items for sale. The Library was in need of lots of assistance with their fall sale, and Mortar Board was there to lend a helping hand.

Alumni Dinner 09.27.09

Wow! What a fantastic Alumni Dinner. A big thank you goes out to the Loveland's for hosting the dinner. We also want to thank all the wonderful alumni for everything. Thank you so very much for cooking all the delicious food and the heavenly desserts. We were all so stuffed by the end of the evening from all the savory foods.

After dinner, current Mortar Board members and Mortar Board alumni all convened together to have a full meeting. The wonderful alumni welcomed the new Mortar Board members and each person introduced themselves. The introductions showed the diversity of Mortar Board with members ranging from a variety of majors and hometowns. The current members were also pleased to learn about the various careers and interesting lives of Mortar Board alumni.

Mortar Board is thankful for having such terrific alumni and are happy to participate in another successful Mortar Board tradition.
